Are thin tubes joined in an inverted V shape, with spiral grooves down their lengths that allow the entered of invertebrates.

Does not produce enzymes but produce bacteria.

It´s a small carnivorous plant called also rainbow plant for the attractive appearance of their mucilage covered leaves in bright sunshine. The surface of the leaves secrete a mucilaginous substance to attract insects. The insects die for asphyxia as the mucilage envelops them. The leaves also are equipped with glands ,which are responsible for the secretion of digestive juice.

It´s the tallest palm in the world. We can find them in the Colombian Andes. Actually is the national tree from Colombia. Also called the wax palm . Grows up to 164 ft tall  not only is the tallest palm  but the tallest monocot in the world.The leaves are dark green with a petiole up to 6.56 ft . The trunk is cylindrical and covered with wax. Can live  a 100 years  and it is a slow grown plant.

It´s a species of palm native from South Asia. There is one plant left in Bangladesh. It´s a extinct in the wild species.

This palm species is the highest palm reaches 65.6 feet tall.

It´s the palm that produce more along its life. Leaves 400 years and produce 165 lbs of datils per year. The leaves are the largest in the palm world , are 82 feet large and 16,4 feet wide. This palm has a female and a masculine tree. Female palms has yellow flowers and produce datils. The masculine palm has white flowers and don´t produce datils.

NATURIST  GAUDIN GARDEN STYLE -

There were developed in France after world war I. G. Risler and J. Siegfred  were founder of the Association Française des Cités Jardins. They were influenced by Howards book (Britain). Usually Gaudin create gardens with ornamental elements, and the planing area has tunnels. He used pots with plants in different levels and including  spray irrigation systems to water the plants.

We were talking about how we can design our own garden- see garden design-. Here we are going to Shaw you different  garden styles in order to help you with your garden idea.

MEDIEVAL ROMAN GARDENS

These gardens are inspired on Greek gardens.The garden was a place of peace , a refuge from urban life and a place with symbolic meanings. They were separated into three parts. The first part or xystus was a terrace  that served as an open air drawing room. Has variety of flowers and trees., statues, herbs and water.

HISPANIC- ARABIC GARDEN

This garden was an enclosed court-garden. They were either shut in by buildings or high walls . It has at least one fountain , the paths are often paved with costly marble, or shaded with vines. The beds are bordered with stones. Arabs used extravagantly flowers. The Hispanic-Arabic garden was divided by walls , often arranged in the classic fourfold pattern which served both as walkways as an aqueducts to carry the water for irrigation. Likes zones with bright, indirect light.

Low light lover. The leaves are a blend of silvery gray and dark green. Don´t put to much water. Allow the soil to dry between watering.

They adapted to a wide range of climates , soils and environments. It´s produce prolific rhizomes . The propagation is by division. Seeds occasionally available.

Admire for its tough nature, has deep green leaves with gold margins.
